🌲 ABOUT – Audio Farm Presents: The Scarlet Macaw

Audio Farm’s Animal journey continues after 2019s The Pangolin. Each gathering will celebrate one of our planets most fascinating animals. These events will embody and inform of the nature and the welfare of this one beautiful animal, and raise awareness of welfare and activism initiatives by means of a creative, informative, musical, visual and sensual feast.

🌲 ABOUT – The Scarlet Macaw

Macaws are intelligent, social birds that often gather in flocks of 10 to 30 individuals. Their loud calls, squawks, and screams echo through the forest canopy. Macaws vocalise to communicate within the flock, mark territory, and identify one another. Some species can even mimic human speech.
There are at least 17 species of Macaws, and several are endangered. These birds are popular ”pets”, and many are illegally trapped for that trade, or captive bred. Most have their wings clipped and are kept in a cage for their whole life, which is utterly vile and one of the biggest violation of animal welfare and cruelty.
Red-fronted and Blue-throat Macaws are seriously at-risk. The Glaucous Macaw and Spix’s Macaw may already be extinct in the wild.
The rain forest homes of many species are also disappearing at an alarming rate.
Please DO NOT buy a Scarlet Macaw, or any exotic pet. It’s utterly cruel and these animals should be kept in the wild.
